We can't leave this topic alone until we mention the Gospel singing and the fall celebrations coming up at Dollywood. Starting September 29 and running through October 30, the next big festival boasts artisans not only displaying their beautiful autumn-themed crafts, but many are in the park demonstrating their skills.

Dollywood's already known for its food, but lots more is added this month: some of the harvest season’s most celebrated recipes, including a booth for fried green tomatoes  plus lots of other fall-harvest-themed dishes.

If that's not enough to get our attention, how about dozens of concerts included FREE with admission?  Karen Peck & New River, the Isaacs, the Perrys, the Bowling Family, the Diplomats, the Florida Boys, Gold City and The McKameys all are scheduled for just the first week or so!
